BLACKSTONE HOTEL
330 W. Ocean Blvd. (1923)

Architect: Edward L. Mayberry

A six-story apartment hotel building featuring a simplified Renaissance Revivial design, its prime location overlooked the Pike amusement zone and beach. Its design maximized views and air circulation. Situated next to the Sovereign, it serves as a visual anchor to the past. It is one of a cluster of highrise hotels and apartment-hotels built in the Twenties on or near Ocean Boulevard.
