About Deputy Inspectors
Deputy Inspectors are third-party inspectors that are required by the municipal code on construction jobs in the city. While Deputy Inspectors are third-party inspectors, they are required to have a Deputy Inspector license and a business license to operate within the City of Long Beach. The City monitors the work of third-party Deputy Inspectors in order to meet the requirements of the municipal code and ensure the safe construction of buildings in the City.
In order to be a Deputy Inspector in the City of Long Beach, an individual must turn in an application, pass a test and be interviewed in order to be placed on the Deputy Inspection active list and provide specialty inspections.
